Epiphany Music Guild

What is the Epiphany Music Guild?

In today’s world, the opportunity to pause and to experience beauty can be a much-needed gift to our spirits. Going into Los Angeles for concerts can be stressful, time-consuming and expensive. It is one of the goals of the Music Guild at the Church of the Epiphany to contribute to the cultural and spiritual life of our local communities by sponsoring a series of musical events in the welcoming and beautiful environment of our nave, with its excellent acoustics. This season’s events include choral services in the great Anglican tradition and recitals or concerts that will feature masterful musical presentations by gifted musicians and artists.

The Epiphany Music Guild has two main purposes:

1. to further the outreach mission of the Church of the Epiphany (TCOTE) by opening the doors of TCOTE to the general public, to provide a regular series of musical and other artistic events to the community, thereby enriching people’s lives and giving them opportunities to encounter beauty in a sacred space; and

2. to enrich the worship life of the congregation of TCOTE by providing occasional additional financial support for special music in worship services above and beyond what is normally the responsibility of the parish budget.

Please Become a Member of the Epiphany Music Guild

Because of the generosity of the members of the Music Guild, our events are open to all without admission charges, with the exception of the two joint events with the Red Door Vineyard.  If you become a member, you will receive, based on the level of your donation, a number of free admissions to those joint events. The donations of Guild members also enrich our regular worship by supporting musical enhancements to those services. None of this would be possible without the Guild’s continued generous support.

Please consider joining us in support of the Music Guild this year by making a tax-deductible donation. Your donation will ensure the continued excellence of this series and the music heard from week to week at the Church of the Epiphany.  At any of our events, you can pick up a season flyer and a donor card, which sets forth the various levels of support as well as the benefits of membership. In addition, in-kind donations, as well as the gifts of your time and talent, can be valuable ways to further support the work of the Music Guild.

Whether you feel that you are able financially to support the Music Guild this year or not, I would like to cordially invite you to attend our events and experience great music.

If you have any questions about how you can become involved in the work of the Music Guild, please do not hesitate to contact me at jwilcox@tcote.org.
